Lou Miranda Estate is a family owned boutique winery based in the Barossa Valley, South Australia.
Lou, his wife Val and their daughters Lisa and Victoria produce premium quality wines under the Leone and Lou Miranda Estate brands using fruit from their own Barossa Valley vineyards.
Lou’s father used to say "You can only make great wine with great fruit". This simple but effective philosophy is reflected in all that we do today, from our rigorous approach to vineyard management, consistency and discipline over fruit selection to hand crafted winemaking practices.
At the Lou Miranda Estate cellar door and restaurant in Rowland Flat, Lou and the girls serve lunch 7 days a week, and believe that wine should be shared with family and friends over a meal. “Our objective is to create a unique wine experience combining traditional family elements and world-class wine making techniques” Lou says.
In one way or another, our family has been working on these wines for more than seventy years.
It started when our nonno, Francesco Miranda came to Australia in 1938. The one thing he knew from his Southern Italian upbringing was that good wine was as important as a loving family and close friends. He arrived in Griffith, New South Wales and set about building his dream.
His son Lou has spent a lifetime building on his father’s passion while adding his own unique style. That led to the development of the boutique winery Lou Miranda Estate, in the Barossa Valley, South Australia.
Now we are proud to introduce the family’s premium quality wines, Lou Miranda Estate and Leone.
